From Liverpool to Bangalore.

The day started to be amazing soon after entering to the best 5 star hotel of bangalore, JW Marriott. Such a nice place it is, be it the entrance, chandelier, the conference hall at its best. As always, Sujit sir rocked the introduction part.
The hall was sparkled after the entry of the founder of Camp Leaders, Smaller Earth and World Merit*, none other than Sir Chris Arnold.
In spite of coming from a normal background, beating all the odds, experiencing the many tragedies in life, he didn't complain his situations. He was exceptionally well as a student. His father was very supportive to him. It was his teacher Mary Wilson who made a huge impact on his life. At the age of 16, she made him to plan for his future. Mary Wilson made him to believe that he had talent and made him realised that he was responsible for himself. He then wanted to a writer but it didn't turn well. He then thought that travelling the world and finding the right mentor was the solution for all the confusions.
His mentor suggested him to be an entrepreneur analysing his strength. He dropped the idea of being a writer and started to be an entrepreneur. His dad supported him by giving his time and space. He earned nothing for 4 years after starting his journey as an entrepreneur. But he didn't lose hope and belief. He moved ahead and slowly things turned well. After his son's birth, he slowly realised and understood the problems fave d by the people in real world . So it was then he gave birth to a revolutionary platform called WORLD MERIT* as an NGO, which provided opportunities for young leaders based in merit, set challenges for young people and then provide opportunities like jobs, internship and scholarships.
One thing which I really want everyone including me to impact is the claim which he makes himself of, which are:
1. You are capable
2. You are the happiest
3. You are the luckiest
The Q&A session went exceptionally well and I was very much impressed by the answer for this particular question "What are the key things yo highlight your initiative?" to which he replies that its your quality of determination and prove your concept and then move on.
He's a person with strong vision to eradicate the problems of world and a great speaker too. Thanks Chris Arnold sir coming down to Bangalore and inspiring us.

Asura - Tale of the Vanquished

Be prepared to be uncomfortable reading this book. This story revolves around Ravana and Bhadra's lives, their struggles, victories and death. Ramayana is a mythology which has been interpreted in many ways by many authors. Author Neelakantan has his version of Ramayana keeping Ravana as protagonist and Rama as an antagonist. This book challenges your beliefs on good vs bad, right vs wrong, Asura vs Deva, Dharma vs Karma. Was Ravana as bad as he is claimed to be? Was Ravana the mightiest emperor? Was Rama stuck in Dharma and Kartavya? Was Rama right for what he has done? Which way of living is right Asura or Deva? Who's is right and who's wrong? Who's the winner and who's the loser? Since our childhood we have heard only one side of the Ramayana, this book explores the other side of the coin. This book also takes you through the barbaric caste system which might have existed time immemorial. The author takes thr...
